The disc marked MINUS is placed on the left side of the triangle (From the perspective of yourself facing NORTH) and the PLUS disc on eh RIGHT side of the triangle. If glued they will not function properly and they should be replaced If the edges are slightly chipped the discs will function properly and do not need to be replaced. Make sure that the surface you glue the discs on is clean and dry. You can also replace the tape with industrial strength Velcro to replace the tape. The discs can be easily cleaned with detergent and water. If the discs need to be applied to a ceiling make sure that the disc is attached firmly to the surface. You may also put the disc in a soft plastic box such as cassette tape box and attach it to the ceiling with strong adhesive two side tape or Velcro.
